Hi! I'm Amber.
I’m a family photographer based out of Joplin, Missouri. My husband and I have two little boys who keep our hands full and our hamper fuller. In my downtime - which let's be honest, is near non-existent with little ones in the house - I love reading, saving new recipes that I may or may not ever try, and adding things to the Amazon cart that I'll later remove. Because do I really need a fourth set of cute mixing bowls? (Yes, obviously I do, but I digress.)
I love ornery smiles, messy hair and the beautiful chaos of raising kids. While I love the perfectly posed shots, my favorite photos are always the candid moments, the funny faces and the sweet snuggles. As a mom, those are the moments I most want to remember, and while I always love the rare "perfect pose" shots of my kids, the pictures that show their wild and sweet personalities are the ones I most treasure years later.
I believe photography done right is more than snapping a few pictures – it's capturing a story through the camera lens. It's light and color and emotion. It's a moment in time perfectly preserved in a single image.
